Nestled on a forested plateau between Redmond and Issaquah, Sammamish is an extremely ethnically-diverse city where residents get a top-notch education and a wealth of outdoor activities at their doorstep. Sammamish is located northwest of Redmond, bordered to the South by Issaquah. The many residential suburban neighborhoods in Sammamish known as “The Plateau” consist of all kinds, including upscale tree-lined streets, well-groomed neighborhoods, new construction, and the gated community of Sahalee. The south part of the Plateau is served by the Issaquah School District and the north side by the Lake Washington School District.
